SENIOR NETWORKING ORGANIZATION THROWS GALA TO BENEFIT CHARLESTON MEALS ON WHEELSticket-harvest

The Holiday Harvest Gala is a new, unique event for the Lowcountry’s premier networking organization committed to providing quality services to seniors, caregivers, and adult children – Lowcountry Senior Network. Located at Mt. Pleasant’s picturesque Memorial Waterfront Park in the footprint of the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, this event will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 6 PM – 9 PM.

The fundraising event will benefit Meals on Wheels of Charleston, a Charleston Area Senior Citizens (CASC) program, in addition to serving the two hundred local residents currently on the waiting list to receive services. Through a network of dedicated staff and sustained by giving volunteers, Meals on Wheels not only provides a nutritious meal, but also a friendly visit and a safety check that helps keep seniors living independently in their own homes from the Cooper River to the Edisto.

The evening to remember will be filled with amazing performances by Charleston’s own Ann Caldwell and Jerry Bellows in the Cooper River Room where guests will have a chance to mingle, wine and dine with the Franke at Seaside’s culinary team, bid on one of a kind raffle items, and step outside to enjoy the breathtaking view.

Charleston Area Senior Citizens, a non-profit organization established in 1967, provides opportunities for older persons to pursue mutual interests, receive services and participate in programs and services which will enhance their dignity, improve their health, support their independence, and encourage their involvement in the community. Additionally, CASC operates a multi-purpose senior center in downtown Charleston offering health and wellness programs, recreational activities, and educational opportunities.
